There's a framed photo of Heather and me that's thirty years old now and been on the wall above my desk for the last fourteen. It was shot by Rod Ellmore in 1994 while our whole family was together in Auckland. When I look at it I think: “Didn’t we look cute thirty years ago? And I had hair! Remember how those Lockwood houses creaked? The bloody dog ruined that couch… Love the Indian parchment — still on the wall… What happened to those Churchill books? The printing is like new… Those shoes were great…” In another thirty To View More >>

Justine Ungaro is conducting a Master Class at WPPI about the challenges of setting up business in a new market. We're proud to be sponsoring her. We all know that selling albums can make you more $$, but did you know that selling albums will also make you a better photographer? Heather is proud of our press books. Here she explains why… How 95% of the press/photobook market works First you buy a very expensive machine. You sell your product as cheaply as you can - and certainly not just to professional photographers. You don’t worry too much about colour because your customers don’t expect a lot, and probably think that a bad result is their own fault anyway. To View More >>

Three months was all Juliane and Chris needed to put together their beautiful DIY wedding. They rented a lovely house for the weekend in Austin, Texas where a small intimate ceremony took place. Their photographer Sarah Jaine Photography describes the day as “Beautiful, unique and truly representative of how I know them to be.” Their album starts with a translucent title page I just love the ceremony shots - Chris and Juliane are glowing. It was a small intimate ceremony with just immediate family and close friends - they even had their friend marry them (he applied for a license). Chris To View More >>
